# How to create reports of Koalify merges in HubSpot using the Koalify Merge object
## Koalify creates a Merge record in HubSpot for every merge. You can use these records in HubSpot custom reports to see which records were merged, which duplicate rules caused it, and which merges were later unmerged.
By using the Koalify Merge object in HubSpot reports, you can:
- See all Koalify merges in one report
- Find out which workflow or users are merging most duplicates
- Review the primary and merged record behind each merge

### 1. Create a custom report
- In your HubSpot account, create a **Custom Report**.
- Choose **Koalify Merges** as the primary data source for your report. \[CONFIRM: data source name\]
### 2. Configure the chart
**X-axis**
- **Merge date**, grouped by **weekly** or **monthly**
**Y-axis**
- **Count of Merges**
**Break down by** Optionally, add a breakdown to compare merges by:
- **Object type**
- **Merge source** for Card vs Workflow
- **Status** for Merged vs Unmerged
- **Duplicate rules**
- **Object type**
To keep the report easy to read, start with one breakdown at a time.
### 3. Edit the filters to refine the records shown
For example:
- **Merge date** is this year
- **Status** is Unmerged, to see only merges that were undone
- **Duplicate rules** contains a specific rule, to check how that rule performs
### 4. Edit the fields to improve the drill-down view
Recommended fields include:
- **Merge date**
- **Primary record name**
- **Merged record name**
- **Object type**
- **Merge source**
- **Duplicate rules**
- **Status**
