Troubleshooting error messages in your Koalify CRM cards
This article explains the most common error messages you might see when merging records with Koalify CRM cards
Most of these error messages come directly from HubSpot (not Koalify). We surface them in the CRM card so you can quickly see what’s happening and fix it. Below are the most common messages, what they mean, and how to resolve them.
1. The records was already merged
This record was already merged. Please refresh the page first to see the updated object and try again.
Meaning: The record was already merged through another CRM card or workflow
Fix: Refresh the page and confirm whether the duplicate has already been removed
2. Association configuration limits are exceeded
Association configuration limits are exceeded in portal 123456789 when merging 123456789 into 123456788 of object type 0-2"
Meaning: Merging this record would exceed your HubSpot portal’s association limits
Fix: Review and update the record’s associations, then try merging again
3. Salesforce integration enabled
Can not merge companies due to the Salesforce integration
Meaning: With Salesforce enabled, HubSpot doesn’t allow company merges (even via API).
Fix: Koalify automatically switches to a soft merge when this error occurs.

4. Loop detected
Loop detected while merging records
Meaning: The merge would create a loop in record associations
Fix: Check the records’ associations, remove the ones causing the loop, and try again
